Danielle Lungelow, PMHNP-BC
Danielle Lungelow is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). A PMHNP prescribes medication, diagnoses mental health & psychiatric conditions, and provides therapy. Nurse Practitioner Lungelow works with children and adults. She takes a holistic and evidence based approach including prescribing medication and recommending physical activity, nutritional changes, mindfulness practice and other modalities. She is passionate about incorporating art and movement therapy into her practice. Her current focus is on yoga, dance, capoeira, and visual art. She is excited to provide care that encourages & empowers her patients to nurture their total body health and consequently, their mental health.
She completed her Masters Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed additional veteran care specialty training with UCSF Psychiatry faculty at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Prior to advanced psychiatric training, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University, Master of Social Science in Medical Anthropology at University of Cape Town, and her Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Psychology and African & African American Studies at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
